MUMBAI: Accusing Indi-pop singer Mika Singh of cheating her of Rs 27 lakh, an Ahmedabad woman who runs event management company tried to commit suicide on Sunday.
Cops have registered a case against Mika Singh.
According to police, 27-year-old Priyanka Chaddha who owns Nakshatra TV Pvt Ltd and lives in the the Vastrapur area of Ahmedabad, attempted suicide by taking an overdose of sleeping pills. She was rushed to hospital where her condition is said to be stable.
Mika Singh booked after complaint
Police Assistant Sub-Inspector K G Chavda said the woman had filed a complaint against Mika Singh on May 14, alleging that he and six others took Rs 27 lakh from her but didn’t fulfill his commitment to perform for her event on May 16.
Instead, he gave the date to other event management company and performed for them at GMDC ground in Ahmedabad on Sunday tonight.
In her complaint, she said that Mika Singh had demanded Rs 37 lakh for his performance and she had paid Rs 27 lakh till March.
She alleged that her own business partner Pravin Patel ditched her and tied-up with another event management company and arranged Mika’s concert today (Sunday, May 17).
