BOLLYWOOD: Actress Kajol has a very special place in the heart of Bollywood super star Shah Rukh Khan. Ho bhi kyon naa.
They have such a great chemistry in real life and that chemistry spills into their films. The two have done at least a dozen films together, starting with the 1993 Baazigar when the two were novices in Bollywood.
The 1995 blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge made Shah Rukh and Kajol as the best Bollywood jodi which went to work in super-hit films such as My Name Is Khan, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Om Shanti Om, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, etc. They celebrated the 20 years of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge with so much dhoom-dhaam recently.
Now Shah Rukh and Kajol are coming together after five years to do Dilwale.
So Shah Rukh misses romancing Kajol quite often?
Yes, he says he misses Kajol.
“I miss Kajol in every film. With this film she gave us 150 days. She had to be away from her children and I know it is a huge sacrifice for a parent. We are restless people who want to do more films, earn more money but Kajol is a rested soul. She doesn’t care about these things. We are thankful that she took time out for this movie,” Shahrukh said last week while on the sets of Dilwale.
Shahrukh spoke of that something special in Kajol that other actresses don’t have.
“Kajol is not technical, she is an honest actor and that’s a great quality. I can’t explain but she is something else on screen,” according to Shahrukh.
In fact, Shahrukh wants his daughter Suhana, who wants to become an actress, to learn from Kajol.
“My daughter wants to become an actress and I would want her to learn that from Kajol.”
