MUMBAI: When filmmaker Karan Johar invited Akshay Kumar to his chat show Koffee With Karan little did he know that the actor would give him a taste of his own medicine.Â
Karan, who is known for asking his guests the most controversial questions on his show, was at the receiving end, courtesy Akshay Kumar. Yes, the Khiladi Kumar made Karan feel a ‘terrible’ all through the show and asked him a string of questions in the rapid fire round too.
When Akshay asked him, ‘Who would you have as your enemy? Me, SRK or the entire Chopra family?’, Karan replied, ‘How can anyone choose an enemy?’ To this Akshay replied, ‘Now you will understand what we go through’.
While answering the questions, Karan stated that if he gets to marry a celebrity’s wife he would choose Tina over Gauri, Sussanne and Shilpa, because ‘she is the first love of my life’. On being asked, ‘If you were trapped on a deserted island, whose camp would you choose to survive in, SRK or Salman Khan?’ Karan said, ‘Shah Rukh. I have been more protected by it in the past.’
Akshay Kumar, who was never ashamed of his casanova image, said women finds him sexy because he can unbutton himself in public. Later in the show, he also revealed Twinkle’s worst and best qualities. As Akshay said Twinkle’s best quality is her bluntness and the worst is her ability to be always right.
Akshay said that his wife’s film Mela, starring Aamir Khan and brother Faisal, was the turning point of his personal life.
‘She was very confident about Mela. She had said if the film didn’t work, she would get married.Â
Fortunately for me, Mela flopped and we got married,’ Akshay said.
On Twinkle not making an appearance on the show, Karan said jovially, ‘She can’t keep her mouth shut and will talk nonsense and regret it later.’
To which Akshay retorted, ‘I tell her to be diplomatic but she is like, What is white is white, what is black is black. There’s no filter in her mind. What she’s thinking just comes out.’ (Courtesy Millennium Post)
