NEW YORK: Hollywood star Halle Barry is mom again.
The Oscar-winning actress, who turned 47 on August 14, gave birth to a boy at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
This is her first baby with French actor Olivier Martinez.
Berry also has a five-year-old daughter Nahla with her former French Canadian boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.
Martinez had revealed to People magazine in June that he and his wife were expecting a boy.
In November, Berry had hinted that the couple will have a baby as her daughter wanted “a bunk bed and a baby sister.’’
Instead, the big sister gets a baby brother.

This is the third marriage for Berry. She first dated Chicago dentist John Ronan from 1989 to 1991. The two had an unruly break-up as Ronan sued her for $80,000 which, he said, he spent to launch her career. He lost. In 1993, she married basketball player David Justice. They divorced in 1996.
In 2001, she married Eric Benet. But the marriage was over by 2003. In 2005, she got together with French Canadian model Gabriel Aubry with whom she had her daughter Nahla in 2008. They separated in 2010 even as they continue to feud over their daughter to this date.
In 2010, she met French actor Olivier Martinez, and the two got married in 2012.
Born to a white mother and black father in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1966, Berry is the only African-American actress to have won an Oscar for the lead role in any film when she was adjudged the best actress in 2002 for her role in Monster’s Ball.
She is estranged from her father Jerome Jesse Berry as her parents divorced when she was four. “I haven’t heard from him since. Maybe he’s not alive,” she once said. Berry is also estranged from her sister Heidi.
