MUMBAI: British Pakistani model Sofia Hayat, who became famous in India with her bold antics after participating in Bigg Boss 7, has surprised everyone by becoming a nun.
The former glamour girl is now known as Gaia Sofia Mother.
In an Instagram post recently, Sofia says “We are beautiful without makeup…hair colour…fashion… We are perfect as we are. I’m sorry I gave you the impression otherwise. I am changed. I love you all. Gaia Sofia Mother.’’
In an interview with the Times of India, the former model says that she has been thinking of becoming a nun for the past two years because of an abusive relationship she was in.
“I was in a verbally abusive relationship, where I once tried to kill myself. It was then that I realised that I had almost died, as I could feel myself come out of my body. After coming back to my senses, I went to a healer, who realised that a person, whose body was made of sun, came out of me. I became weak and could only feel ‘pure love’ in my body. It was then that I realised that I had a gift. I was the mother and daughter of the Holy Trinity,’’ says model Sofia Hayat.
The Muslim-born Sofia says she has no religion now. “Humanity is my religion. I am neither Hindu nor Catholic. I believe only in love and unity as my religion.”
Sofia says since she is a holy person now, she will never have sex nor bear children. “I will never have sex, get married nor have children. Since I am the holy mother, everyone’s my children. I have to look after everyone and make sure they know there is no hell. It is heaven that they are living in,” she adds.
Sofia claims, “”Rama, Krishna and Ganesha have come to me and told me that the earth is heaven and there is no hell. I wish to make the earth more heavenly.”
Sofia is the third major female celebrity who has abandoned glamour and taken to spiritualism in recent years.
Former Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni, who was once one of the most bold actresses, became a ‘sanyasin’ and went on to write the ‘Autobiography Of An Yogini’.
