TORONTO: Navdeep Bains, former minister for innovation, is joining the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) as its vice-chair, Global Investment Banking, from October 4.
Bains, who was co-chair of the Liberal Party’s national campaign committee for the just concluded federal election campaign, joins fellow politician Lisa Raitt who is also Vice Chair of Global Investment Banking at the CIBC
“I am very excited to announce that I will be joining the team at CIBC as their Vice-Chair, Global Investment Banking,” Bains said on social media.
Welcoming Bains, Roman Dubczak, Managing Director and Head, Global Investment banking, said, “Our clients in the innovation and technology sectors are seeking to expand their opportunities in a rapidly changing environment, and Navdeep’s experience will enhance the perspective and advice we can offer.
