BRAMPTON: One more Indo-Canadian Punjabi youth has been arrested for the killing of 21-year-old Paviter Singh Bassi in Brampton in March this year.
Harman Singh, 23, of Caledon was arrested on June 27 by Peel Police and charged with first-degree murder. He is the fifth person arrested in this case.
Paviter Singh Bassi was attacked with sticks in the area of Sandalwood Parkway East and Cedarcliff Trail in Brampton in the evening of March 19. He was rushed to a Toronto Trauma Centre where he succumbed to his injuries.
Karanvir Singh Bassi, 22, Guryodh Singh Khattra, 23, Gurraj Bassi, 20, and Harminder Bassi, 24, have already been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Paviter Singh Bassi.
None of the accused is related to the victim.
