BRAMPTON: Four people were injured in a stabbing on a Brampton transit bus on Tuesday night.
A woman suspect – Jade Nelson, 20, of no fixed address – has been taken in custody.
One of the victims was rushed to a trauma centre with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The incident happened on eastbound 501 Zum bus on Queen Street East when the suspect got on the bus at Goreway Drive after 9 pm. An altercation took place among passengers, forcing the driver to stop the bus at McVean Drive.
When police reached the spot, they found four passengers with stab injuries. The woman suspect was arrested.
Three victims – all women aged 18, 19 and 28 – were taken to hospital. The fourth victim – a 49-year-old man – was rushed to a Toronto trauma centre with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police don’t know the cause of the stabbing yet and believe that the suspect and the victims didn’t know one another.

WOMAN AIRLIFTED: A woman, who suffered life-threatening injuries when she was stuck by a vehicle at Steeles Avenue and Clementine Drive in Brampton on Tuesday afternoon, was airlifted to hospital by Ornge air ambulance.
