Brampton man Harjinder Singh arrested for ramming ambulance

BRAMPTON: Indo-Canadian man Harrender Singh, 32, of Brampton has been arrested for ramming his vehicle into an ambulance and other vehicles. He has been slapped with 15 criminal offences.

On June 7, Peel Police responded to a call at 1.30 pm about an unconscious man in a running vehicle in a parking lot in the area of Steelweel Road and Tomken Road in Brampton.

Officers and paramedics arrived on the scene to provide aid to the man. When he gained consciousness, he accelerated the vehicle, striking the ambulance and two other parked vehicles before fleeing from the area.

The man was located at about 5 pm inside the vehicle near Kipling Avenue and Dundas Street West in Toronto.

He was arrested and identified as Harjinder Singh, 32, of Brampton.

Police have charged him with 15 criminal offences.

These include:

Possession of property obtained by crime x3

Breach of court order x3

Possess identity document x3

Possession of a controlled substance x3

Possession of credit card data

Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

Fail to stop at the scene of an accident

Harjinder Singh attended the Ontario Court of Justice on June 8.
