BRAMPTON: Nav Nishan Singh, a 44-year-old Punjabi man from Brampton, has been arrested for murdering his wife in a city park on Friday.
Nav Nishan Singh stabbed to death Davinder Kaur, 43, in broad daylight in Sparrow Park, located near Cherrytree Drive and Sparrow Court in Brampton.
According to Peel Regional Police, its officers received a call about the stabbing at about 6 pm on Friday.
When police officers reached the crime spot, the woman was found with obvious signs of trauma. Attempts to revive her failed as the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The victim was identified as 43-year-old Davinder Kaur.
Nav Nishan Singh was arrested at a short distance from the scene. He has been charged with first-degree murder and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
