TORONTO: One has heard about criminals throwing chilly powder at their victims, but a young woman in Kingston deployed a unique method to escape after committing a crime.
She was caught for shoplifting. But before shoplifting, she bought hot coffee and threw it at the store staff member and fled.
According to Kingston Police, the incident happened on December 9 when the woman entered a clothing store in the downtown area at about 1pm. She stole some clothing items, packed them in her backpack and started walking out.
When she was stopped by a staff member and caught stealing the merchandise, the woman threw hot coffee at him and fled away.
Kingston Police are seeking public help in identifying the woman thief who was caught on surveillance cameras.
