NEW DELHI: Top political leaders and singers joined the pre-wedding bash and sangeet Punjabi pop star Daler Mehndi’s daughter Ajit Kaur before her marriage to singer Hans Raj Hans’ son Navraj Hans in Gurgaon on Wednesday.
The secret pre-marriage and sangeet, were attended by Union minister Kapil Sibal and Ramvilas Paswan and others.
From the entertainment industry, Rishi Kapoor, Anu Malik, actor Rajpal Yadav, Shivani Kashyap, Anand Raj Anand, Narendra Chanchal, Jaspinder Narula, Gurdas Mann and Jasbir Jassi attended the ceremonies.
Mika Singh, who is the younger brother of Daler Mehndi, played a perfect host to the guests.
Both Ajit Kaur and Navraj Hans are following in the footsteps of their fathers. Navraj has starred in the Punjabi film Di Le Gayi Kdui Punjab Di and has the chartbuster Saiyaan to his credit. Ajit Kaur has made her singing debut in home production Meri Shadi Karao.
Ajit Kaur and Navraj got engaged in May this year in Jalandhar at a high-profile ceremony attended by Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal and top Punjabi artists.
It may be recalled that Hans Raj Hans contested the 2009 Lok Sabha election from Jalandhar on the Akali Dal ticket.
