MUMBAI: Singer Mika Singh has been booked after a Mumbai model has filed a case against him for molestion.
But the singer has filed a counter-case against the model, alleging that she has been harassing him by text messages and trying to extort Rs 5 crore from him.
The model is said to be 32 years old. She has reportedly known Mika Singh, who is the brother of Daler Mehndi, for five years.
In her FIR with the Versova police station, the model has claimed that Mika had promised her modeling assignments and break into films, but nothing happened.
The model said she went to Mika’s residence in Andheri West on Tuesday to confront him. According to police, the two had an altercation at Mika’s residence. The model alleged that Mika grabbed her by her hair and assaulted her.
But in his counter-case against the model, Mika Singh has said, “Around 5am on Tuesday, a girl entered my premises through the window. She started abusing me and assaulting my staff. She threatened that if I did not pay her Rs 5 crore, she would ruin my career and register a false complaint against me. I have already informed the Versova police in writing regarding the threat. I do not know who this girl is. I have evidence against her demanding money from me. The police are investigating the matter and the truth will come out soon.’’
Mika is not new controversies.
He created a flutter a few years ago by publicly kissing Rakhi Sawant. Last year, he assaulted a doctor at his concert in Delhi.
