MUMBAI: Neena Gupta is set to get back into Bollywood action after a long time in Manish Tiwary’s upcoming film Issaq.
The film has Prateik Babbar and Amyra Dastur in the lead roles as Romeo and Juliet.
Neena is a mother figure to Amyra, playing the role of a nurse called Amma.
“She’s a fabulous actress. We approached her and I was lucky to have her in the cast…the story has a Benares setting and her character loves to eat paan,” Mid-Day quotes Tewary as saying.
On the big screen, Neena has appeared in major global films such as Gandhi (1982) in which played the role of Gandhiji’s niece, The Deceivers, Custody and Cotton Mary.
