MUMBAI: India’s funniest man Kapil Sharma of Comedy Nights, who is making his Bollywood debut in Abbas-Mustan’s next untitled romance comedy, will have sexy Punjabi diva and Miss India Universe 2008 Simran Kaur Mundi as his leading lady.
The 26-year Mundi, who made her Bollywood debut with the 2011 film Jo Ham Chahein, has also done two Punjabi films – Best of Luck and Mundeyan Ton Bachke Rahin – as well as a Telugu film Potugadu.
She has also featured in Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi by Ekta Kapoor production.
“I’m super excited to share screen space with Kapil Sharma, the current king of comedy. His jokes always have me in splits and matching his comic timing will surely be tough. But, I am looking forward to it,’’ said Simran Kaur Mundi who comes from Jalandhar.
“It’s an honor to work with Abbas-Mastanji who have pushed forward the careers of many newcomers in the industry. Also, it’s super exciting to share screen space with Kapil Sharma, the current King of comedy. I know that matching his comic timing will be tough but then it should be throughly fun and enjoyable. This untitled comedy will also feature Varun Sharma and Elli Avram.
