TORONTO: A radio show host and blogger in the Canadian city of Kelowna removed her bra while interviewing her city mayor on why women cannot expose their breasts in public like men do their chests.
When the blonde woman Lori Welbourne was in the middle of the interview with the mayor Walter Gray, she asked him to hold the mike and took off her blouse.
The mayor were surprised but didn’t object and continued the interview with her. And the woman blogger posted the video of her going topless while interviewing the mayor on YouTube.
The video went viral. And the woman said she did it to start a conversation on gender equality.
That happened in August. Now three months later, the mayor Walter Gray and the woman reporter got together for another interview. But this time both the woman and the mayor expose their breasts (or chests, though pixeled).
In the new video, the woman Lori Welbourne says, “I’ve been wildly misunderstood (from her previous video) by the masses as a stupid, unprofessional, hypocritical, exhibitionist reporter. I am not a reporter.”
In the video, the mayor Walter Gray also justifies his decision to join the woman in exposing their breasts because he supports her mission of gender equality.
“I appreciate her ambition and I thought, why not? I have a sense of humour. I believe as a politician, if you don’t have a sense of humour you don’t survive,’’ says the mayor.
And the woman says, “It started conversations, and the conversations are still going and that’s a good thing.’’
She says she has posted the second video because she is going to appear as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and she wants Ellen DeGeneres’s attention.
