NEW DELHI: Actor Shahid Kapoor, 34, finally tied the knot with non-filmy bride Mira Rajput on a farmhouse in South Delhi on July 7 in 2015.
It was a traditional Punjabi wedding by the actor with Mira who is 13 years junior to him – just like Shahid’s former flame Kareena Kapoor who after ditching him married Saif Ali Khan who is 12 years senior to her.
Shahid and Mira took their wedding vows at a gurdwara where Sikh priests performed the Anand Karaj ceremony.
After the wedding ceremony or Anand Karaj, Shahid Kapoor signed the marriage register at the gurdwara.
The couple also exchanged the traditional `varmala’or garlands.
Decked out fabulous jewelry, Mira looked gorgeous in a rose-coloured lehenga designed by Anamika Khanna outfit. Shahid was dressed in white with a pink safa (turban), designed by Kunal Rawal.
Shahid’s dad Pankaj Kapur looked handsome in white and light blue safa. Shahid’s step-mother Supriya Pathak and half-sister Sanah were also present among close family members and friends.
After their wedding vows, Shahid and Mira posed for the camera and posted their first selfie on Twitter.
Their wedding reception was held at the Oberoi in Gurgaon.
