TORONTO: An Indo-Canadian man, who downed too much beer quickly before driving his wife and baby and then crashing his vehicle in the concrete wall on a highway in Florida, has been arrested.
Miami’s TV channel WPLG reported that 30-year-old Peeyush Gupta crashed his red Camaro into a concrete wall on the Overseas Highway in the Florida Keys.
He had drunk a pitcher on beer in five minutes before driving away with his wife and daughter.
After hitting the concrete wall on the highway, he didn’t stop. Instead Gupta kept speeding up and slowing down.
Soon, police found him at a gas station. When Gupta left the gas station, police followed him.
Finding him driving erratically as he swerved his vehicle from side to side, cops stopped him.
The cops found both Gupta and his wife reeking of alcohol and their baby crying.
After failing a sobierty test, Peeyush Gupta was arrested.
He told the cops that he drank a pitcher of Budweiser “within five minutes.”
Gupta has been charged with dribken driving and child neglect.
