Gaurav Jassal committed two robberies on October 16 and October 21 at two banks in Brampton

BRAMPTON: Brampton Indo-Canadian Gaurav Jassal, 25, has been arrested in connection with two bank robberies.
The first robbery occurred on October 16 when at about 2.30 pm the suspect entered a bank in the area of McLaughlin Road and Bovaird Drive in Brampton. The suspect approached the teller and produced a handwritten note demanding money. The teller handed over a quantity of Canadian currency. The suspect fled on foot, according to police.
The second robbery occurred on October 21 when the same suspect went to a financial institution in the area of Highway 50 and Fogal Road in Brampton. The suspect went to the teller and gave a handwritten note demanding money. The teller complied and turned over a quantity of Canadian currency.
Through a detailed criminal investigation, the suspect was identified as Gaurav Jassal. He was arrested on October 21 and charged with two counts of bobbery. Gaurav Jassal is set to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
