Daring robbery at Heartland Town Centre cellphone store in Mississauga

MISSISSAUGA: In a daring robbery in Mississauga on Friday evening, two masked men looted cellphones from a Heartland Town Centre telecommunications store. The incident happened around 6.15pm.

Peel Police said one of the man was carrying a handgun.

There were reportedly no customers in the store when the two robbers entered it.

No one from the staff was injured. It is not known whether they offered any resistance when the robbers took off with an unspecified number of cellphones.

There are no details whether the robbers escaped in a vehicle or on foot.

Police searched the the area of Britannia Road and Mavis Road for the fugitives.

One of the man who was carrying a handgun is described as of  `darker skin’ and lean build, 5-foot 10-inches tall and wearing a black hoodie, navy blue pants. The second robber is said to be white and 6-foot tall, wearing all black.

Cops are viewing surveillance cameras to nab the robbers.
