MISSISSAUGA: Peel Police have arrested Mark-Anthony De Silva and Trevee Raympre, both 25 and from Ajax, for breaking into a home in Mississauga, assaulting its residents and stealing their vehicles, cell phones and laptops.

According to police, several decoits armed with firearms entered a residence in the area of Confederation Parkway and Rathburn Road in Mississauga at about 3 am in the morning of November 23.

They tied the hands of the residents of the home with zip ties and duct tape, and assaulted one of the victims

The decoits then stole cell phones and laptops from the victims and also two vehicles before fleeing.

After investigation, Peel Police arrested the suspects along with the stolen vehicles from Toronto area with the assistance of the Toronto Police Emergency Task Force.

Anthony De Silva and Trevee Raympre have been charged with robbery, use of an imitation firearm, wear disguise and possession of stolen property.

They appeared for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.
