TORONTO: An Indo-Canadian man killed a young Toronto woman, with whom he was in an intimate relationship in the past, before taking his own life on Monday.
Peel Regional Police say its officers responded to a medical call at 2.08 pm on Monday from a residential area near Eagle Ridge Drive and Bighorn Crescent in Brampton.
Upon arrival, the cops found Sharanjeet Kaur, 27, dead.
The body of Navdeep Singh, a 35 year-old man from Brampton, was also located within the residence.
Police said it has determined that Navdeep Singh caused the death of Sharanjeet Kaur and then took his own life.
Kaur was reported missing to Toronto Police by a friend on Sunday.
Later, Toronto Police tracked her movement from her cellphone and then sought help of Peel Police to locate her.
Singh and Kaur had been in an intimate relationship in the past. The motive of the crime is not yet known.
While the woman was a permanent resident of Canada, the man still had not got his permanent residency.
