Brampton man Akamjot Sandhu arrested for impaired driving death

BRAMPTON: Akamjot Sandhu, 22 of Brampton has been arrested for impaired driving that caused death of a man in a fatal collision in Mississauga.

Sandhu was involved in a collision at the intersection of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Burnhamthorpe Road West in Mississauga on September 11 last year.

In that collision, a 34-year-old man from Mississauga, who was a passenger in that vehicle, was killed on the spot.

Sandhu, who was driving his vehicle with a 19-year-old female passenger, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 19-year-old female passenger from Brampton was also rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Peel Police have now arrested Sandhu for causing the fatal mishap. 

He has been charged with impaired and dangerous driving causing death and injury.
