BRAMPTON: Peel Police have issued Canada-wide arrest warrants for 25-year-old Brampton man Kamaljit Singh for causing death in a road accident.
According to police, Singh was involved in a road collision on July 3, 2021, between two vehicles in the intersection of Hurontario Street and Sandalwood Parkway in Brampton.
As a result, a 59-year-old man from Brampton died at the spot.
Kamaljit Singh was operating the vehicle that caused the death. He failed to remain at the collision site, leaving two passengers in his vehicle.
One passenger – a 25-year-old man from Brampton – was taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries. The second passenger – a 23-year-old man from Guelph – suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police arrested Kamaljit a little later and charged him with impaired driving causing death and failure to stop after the accident resulting in death.
After his release, Kamaljit Singh failed to comply with his conditions and went missing.
Since his current whereabouts are unknown, police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.
