Brampton woman arrested in near-deadly hit-and-run

BRAMPTON: Tiffany Keddie, 21, of Brampton has been arrested and charged in connection with the hit-and-run accident on April 2 in which Linda Prakash, 45, suffered life-threatening injuries.

Tiffany has been charged under the Criminal Code for failing to remain at the scene of the accident. She was released with the promise to appear in the Grenville and William Davis Court in Brampton on May 7.

Tiffany hit Linda Prakash shortly after 10 pm when the victim was crossing Steeles Avenue at Bramalea Road in Brampton.

Prakash suffered a fractured skull, fractured femur, fractured pelvis, two broken legs and several broken ribs.

She was rushed to a Toronto Trauma Centre where she remains in serious condition.
