Attempt to kidnap 11-year-old girl in Mississauga

MISSISSAUGA: Police are hunting for a man who tried to kidnap a little girl in Mississauga.

The incident happened between 2 pm and 3 pm on November 15 when the 11-year-old girl was walking in the area of Delle Donne Drive and Camberwell Drive in Mississauga. 

The suspect, who was driving a small, black four-door sedan, approached the girl, exited from his vehicle and made an attempt to force her into his vehicle. 

But the girl managed to break free and run away.

The suspect is about 6’2” tall and of medium build. He weighs about 175 pounds and has short black hair. He was wearing a black bomber style jacket and a black toque at the time of the kidnap attempt.

Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with surveillance footage, from the area within the boundaries of Eglinton Ave West, Ninth Line, Britannia Road and Winston Churchill Boulevard, to contact investigators at 905-453-2121 extension 1133 or Special Victims Unit at 905-453-2121 extension 3460.
