Brampton man secretly filmed 36 women in female washrooms

BRAMPTON: A Brampton man, who was arrested for secretly filming women in female washrooms at business shops in Peel Region and Toronto, faces additional charges.

Andre Lawrence, 31, was arrested for filming women in female washrooms between August 13 and August 18 in 2020.

He would enter female washrooms and hide himself in a bathroom stall. The suspect would then place his cellphone under the washroom partitions and film women using the washroom. 

During the same time period in 2020, the accused also went to many stores and public places and captured videos of women by pointing his phone camera under their skirts.

He was arrested on August 17, 2020, and charged with sexual assault, two counts of voyeurism and mischief.

Now after a lengthy investigation, Peel Police have found a total of 36 women were victimized by the accused.

On November 16, the accused was charged with additional 36 counts of voyeurism.

He appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on November 17 in answer to the charges.

Police believe there may be more victims of this man and have asked them to contact investigators at 905-453-2121 extension 2233.
