TORONTO: Ontario is lifting from March 1 the requirement for proof of vaccination to enter any place.

Capacity limits for indoor settings are also being lifted.

But mask wearing will remain mandatory.

Premier Doug Ford said on Monday that the COVID-19 vaccine passport system will also end March 1.

“Ontario will also lift proof of vaccination requirements for all settings at this time. Businesses and other settings may choose to continue to require proof of vaccination,” a government statement said.

“Masking requirements will remain in place at this time, with a specific timeline to lift this measure to be communicated at a later date,” the statement added.
