TORONTO: An Indo-Canadian man, who advertises his services as a nanny, has been arrested by Toronto Police for sexually assaulting multiple persons, including children.
Prasanna Mondal, 24, has been arrested and charged with multiple sexual offences.
According to Toronto Police, between October 1 and October 2, its officers responded to reports of sexual assault in a hotel in the Front Street West and York Street area.
It was reported that a man entered the hotel and sexually assaulted a number of people.
On October 12, police officers responded to another call of a sexual assault at Toronto Island Ferry Terminal. It was reported that a man standing at the entrance to the ferry terminal was approached by a stranger on a bicycle and sexually assaulted.
Police identified and arrested Prasanna Mondal for these sexual assaults and charged him. He appeared in court at old City Hall on October 13 via video link.
But the very next day on October 14, officers responded to another call at 3.46 pm for a suspicious incident at a daycare centre on Algonquin Island (part of Toronto Island).
It was alleged that a man sexually assaulted a number of children after they were released from day care.
Prasanna Mondal was again arrested and charged with sexual interference. He appeared in court at Old City Hall on October 15 via video link.
Police now suspect that there could more victims of this con man. Mondal advertises his services as a nanny on Canadiannanny.ca.
I am in no way defending Prasanna Mondal! That is not okay! But Prasanna is Nepali! I’m tired of the racist responses of White people to what has happened! You have literally been trying to demonize Brown men!~
