Peel Police says it has received no complaints about the alleged woman salesperson pepper spraying people

BRAMPTON: Peel Police have scotched the rumours about a woman going door to door selling chocolates and pepper spraying home owners.

Akhil Mooken of Peel Regional Police said their investigators have looked into it and found nothing.
He said, “There is no validity to this (rumour). We have received no reports in regards to anybody being pepper sprayed. We want to reassure the community that their safety is the number one concern for Peel Regional Police. If you have been the victim of the crime, including one being pepper sprayed by someone that came to your door, do call police and we can look into this. But at this time we have not received any reports of anyone being pepper by a door-to door salesperson. If you do see this post at this time, we do ask you not to share it. We don’t want to alarm the community.”
