“She is one of the most down to earth…. normal people you will ever meet. She hasn’t married me because I am a film star or I am a Bachchan and I haven’t married her because she is the most beautiful woman on earth or one of the biggest stars on earth, so that never comes in the equation,’’ Abhishek tells Karan Johar in the upcoming episode on the chat show Koffee With Karan.
When Aishwarya Rai dated Salman Khan
Asked about his insecurities after marrying one of the most beautiful women in the world, Abhishek says he has never felt insecure with Aishwarya.
“I believe she is and to me she is the most beautiful thing on earth. I see myself in the mirror every day and it is a horrific sight. So I am not competing, I can’t. The reason why we got together wasn’t cosmetic,’’ says 38-year-old Abhishek who is two years junior to Aishwarya Rai who is now 40.
After breaking up with Salman, Aishwarya dated Vivek Oberoi.
Aishwarya and Abhishek got married in 2007. Before marrying Abhishek, Aishwarya dated Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi.
In the episode, Abhishek will be seen with choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan.
