Fire destroys Paramount Fine Foods restaurant in Mississauga

MISSISSAUGA: Mohamad Fakih, owner of Paramount Fine Foods restaurant which was destroyed in a fire on Sunday, has vowed to rebuild it because he has fond memories of it.

Firefghters battled for many hours to put out the blaze that engulfed the popular Middle Eastern restaurant situated in Erin Mills Town Centre.

The Ontario Fire Marshal will investigate the cause of the deadly fire.

Toronto and Mississauga mayors voiced thier support for the owner of the gutted restaurant.

Mayor John Try said, “Saddened to hear about the fire at Paramount Fine Foods in Mississauga. Glad everyone is safe.
Mohamad Fakih we are here to support you through this just like you have always helped the GTA and its residents through tough times.”

Emergency rescue teams rushed to the spot after the fire at the popular Middle Eastern restaurant was reported after 6pm.

“Commercial property fire in the area of Erin Mills Pkwy and Eglinton Ave. W. Fire crews on scene conducting fire attack. Please be aware of 1st responders on roadways. Avoid the area if possible,” tweeted Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services.
