TORONTO: Toronto Police have arrested a 28-year-old con man for luring two minor girls for sex by using social media.
Shu `Andrew’ Yi, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault and luring children under 18.
His first victim was a 14-year-old girl whom he lured through social media. He took her to a nearby hotel and sexually assaulted her. After the sexual assault, he gave the girl a birth control pill.
Shu `Andrew’ Yi was arrested on October 31 when Toronto Police executed a search warrant in the area of Front Street West and York Street in connection with this case and charged him with sexual assault and luring the underage child.
On December 18, police arrested him again in connection with another sexual assault case in which he targeted a 17-year-old girl.
He allegedly met the girl online and asked her to send nude photos of her to him. He then met her at Union Station, took her to his condo where he sexually assaulted her and gave her a birth control pill.
Shu `Andrew’ Yi will appear in court at Old City Hall on January 4.
Police say he uses the username “addme4andrew” and “andrewITO” online and may have targeted other girls also.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have been contacted by Shu `Andrew’ Yi to contact Toronto Police.
