Sexual predator on the prowl in Toronto arrested

TORONTO: Toronto Police has arrested the serial sexual predator on the prowl in the city since October 24.

Inzaghi Regis, 20, has been charged with:

1: Three counts of sexual assault with a weapon
2. Two counts of sexual assault
3. Three counts of Robbery
4. Two counts of choking
5. Two counts of threatening death
6. Assault causing bodily harm

He was wanted in connection with five sexual assaults and one robbery since October 24.

His first sexual assault happened on October 24 at about 7.30 p.m. on a 20-year-old woman who was walking home in the area of Murray Ross Parkway and Sentinel Road. The woman was grabbed from behind and sexually assaulted. She was able to fight the suspect off and escape. 

On October 31, the suspect sexually assaulted a 22-year-old woman who was walking in the area of Cook Road and Sentinel Road at approximately 8.50 p.m. He grabbed her from behind and sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to break free from the male and flee from the area. 

The third sexual assault happened on December 19 at approximately 9.30 p.m.. The suspect approached a 22-year-old woman from behind when she was walking along a path on the north side of Finch Avenue West and into Fountainhead Park. He grabbed her, held a knife to her throat and sexually assaulted her. The suspect also took away the victim’s phone and ear buds. 

In the fourth sexual assault at approximately 9.10 p.m. on December 20, the suspect attacked a 30-year-old woman who was walking home from Finch West subway station. The woman was knocked unconscious. When she regained consciousness, she was forced onto a secluded pathway within the complex and sexually assaulted by the suspect. She was able to flee from the suspect. 

In the fifth sexual assault at about 9.25 p.m. on December 20, the suspect targeted a 20-year-old woman in the area of 31 Four Winds Drive. The suspect approached her and threatened her with a knife, demanding her to hand over her property to him. He sexually assaulted the woman and then fled away, stealing her cell phone.

Police are asking residents or business owners in these areas with security cameras to preserve the video and contact the Sex Crimes Unit.
