BRAMPTON: Two Indo-Canadian men have been arrested for ramming their stolen pickup truck into police vehicles in Brampton.
Mandeep Pannu, 33, of no fixed addressed, and Harpreet Singh, 38, of Brampton, were arrested on Tuesday and slapped with multiple charges.
Peel Police said in a statement that they located a stolen vehicle in the area of Glidden Road and West Drive in Brampton on July 10. Investigations revealed that this stolen vehicle was involved in a pursuit and had rammed a vehicle of Halton Police on July 9.
When a police tactical unit stopped the stolen vehicle at 153 Van Kirk Drive in Brampton, its driver rammed tactical trucks causing extensive damage to several vehicles. Police arrested the two Indo-Canadian men with the stolen vehicle.
Mandeep Pannu has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of opioid.
Harpreet Singh has also been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, fleeing from police, driving while disqualified and breaching probation.
