BRAMPTON: Brampton Indo-Canadian Dinesh Wilson has been arrested and charged in relation to a series of recent commercial robberies in the city.
According to Peel Police, seven convenience store and gas station robberies took place in Brampton between January 9 and January 11. Though no victim was injured in these robberies, various quantities of cash and cigarettes were taken from each location.
In one case, the suspect removed the entire cash register.
Though the suspect in all these robberies used no weapons, he made verbal or written demands for money.
Police finally tracked and arrested the suspect on January 12 and identified him as Dinesh Wilson, a 38 year-old man from Brampton.
The Central Robbery Bureau of Peel Police have charged him with seven counts of Robbery, seven counts of Disguise with Intent, one count of Breach of Probation and one count of Breach of Recognizance stemming from earlier related robbery charges. He was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
