BRAMPTON: Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged an individual in connection with uttering threats against Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown.
Police had increased security for the mayor and his family after the threats made in late June 2025 even as the cops launched investigations to trace the culprit.
On July 15, following a thorough investigation that included search warrants and the seizure of electronic devices, 29-year-old Kanwarjyot Singh Manoria of Brampton was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Police say the accused acted alone and is no longer an active threat to the mayor, his family or the community.
