TORONTO: Indo-Canadian man Ronojit Singh Dhami, 25, who surrendered to Peel Police last week and is in jail for the beating of an autistic man at Square One bust stand in Mississauga on March 13, faces more trouble with law. He is also wanted by Toronto police in an assault case at a downtown bar.

Toronto Police say Dhami is wanted in a brawl at Rebel nightclub in the Port Lands on March 11. A warrant was issued for his arrest on March 22 in this case.

Dhami, who has been charged with one count of aggravated assault in the attack on the 29-year-old autistic man at Square One bus stand, is awaiting his bail hearing. If he is released on bail in this case, Toronto Police would arrest and charge him for the nightclub brawl.

If he doesn’t get bail, Toronto police can charge him in the nightclub attack by securing a judge’s order.

Dhami appeared in a Brampton court on March 28 for his bail hearing, but his lawyer Jag Virk didn’t show up to represent Dhami. No reason was given for the absence of the lawyer.

Parmvir Singh Chahil, the second accused, was arrested from Windsor on March 23 with his mother and younger brother. He was released on $25,000 bail on March 28.

The third suspect Jason is yet to be arrested.
