BRAMPTON: Two Brampton men – Zachary O’Gorman, 22, and Gurpreet Singh, 29 – have been arrested for the murder of 36-year-old Amanjot Bains earlier this month.
While Zachary O’Gorman faces with first-degree murder charges, Gurpreet Singh has been charged with accessory to murder.
Bains was found with gunshot when police received a call at about 12.54 am on October 12 that there has been a shooting at a plaza at Dixie Road and Peter Robertson Boulevard in Brampton.
Bains was transported to a trauma centre where he succumbed to his injuries.
Nick Milinovich, Deputy Chief of Investigative Services at Peel Police, attributed the arrests to “fast paced investigation supported by the community, and professionalism of our Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau. Their commitment to providing answers to the family, friends and loved ones of the victim, Amanjot Bains, has led to this expeditious arrest and helps bring some closure in this tragic incident.”
Police have not said why Bains was killed the two accused.
